I'm pretty sure that the cold wind is killing the fishing, which is a shame because this is probably the best time of year for carp fishing, where they are busy fattening up for spawning. I still managed to quite enjoy the day, and got constant bites from bream. I also caught another one of those strange hybrid fish. It is the golden colour of a carp, and fights extremely hard like a carp, but looks like a giant rudd. If it is a rudd then I probably nearly broke the British record.
Nothing much else happened, apart from having a big fish on for a few seconds, probably a carp, just as it was beginning to get dark.
