My First Diary Entry. Went to Bromswell Lakes for a well earned fishing trip. Lovely warm Autumn weather, but no fish ! Not a great start to my on line fishing diary. I can't try out my new app to add fish captures to a Google map of the fishing venue now. First Trip To Manor Farm Fishery. Today was my first trip to Manor farm at Swilland, Ipswich. I caught nine carp (I think, will have to check my notes). It was quite nice weather, cold but with some nice sunshine. First fishing trip of the year. After all the effort of developing this fishing diary, it then went freezing cold for months on end. This weekend has been the warmest in nearly six months, a wopping 8 degrees. What is happening to this countries weather ? Hot At Last But Rubbish Fishing. I've been praying for some warm weather, and today I got it. Now it's too hot. I'm never happy me. ...he biggest tench I have ever caught at marsh Farm. Later on I foul hooked a 12lb common near the island, and it took for ever to get in. I need to get into surface fishing soon, as there were a lot of carp cruising on the surface. It seems that the carp have got used to the hot weather and started feeding again.

...ediately found out that the margins are not that suitable for float fishing or stalking, as they were too shallow. I had no bites all day, and got the beginnings of heat exhaustion. I might go back one day, as the it would be unfair to judge it on today's basis, because the weather was so extreme.

Third Day At Woodlakes. My last day in the log cabin, and the weather was sunny and warm, for a change. ...Couldn't get to my favourite spot so I tried another swim, not been to before. Wish I hadn't, as I had no action all day.Then in the evening I wandered around to the other bays as per usual stalking tactics, but I either got snapped or the hook came out. Very frustrating. But nice weather for September.
