Disappointing Day At The Usual Spot. I arrived full of promise, and left a broken man. Many bites, but mainly from small bream and roach. Bites 'n' bubbles, but no carp, all day long.I also snapped the end off my Shimano Avon Rod, which gave me an excuse to order a new Baggin 4G Waggler ready for my next trip. ...ing along the bank and fishing in the margins. But this lake is either only 1 foot deep or 18 foot deep in the margins. I just can't float fish there. I didn't exactly get many bites on my ledger rod either. And it just feels a bit depressing there, and closed in.
I caught one roach, and had no bites from anything else all day. Going to try Trewandra instead.
