This lake, called Coombe Fisheries, was very pretty and more like two big ponds. But you could see dozens of huge carp sunbathing all over the lake, but none of them were interested in my bait.

Well, a historic moment for me. After six months of moving house, job hunting and other related stress, I am finally at a Cornish fishing lake, with a job, and my sanity intact. Today I was at Trewandra Fishing Lake, stunning and about 2 acres in size.

As the title says really. It was a foggy start, and never really got as warm as they said it would get, but other than that an amazing day. There were loads of bubbles from feeding fish when i arrived, but this did not translate into bites.

Today was warm and humid when I arrived, so of course by 4pm I was in my cosy winter hoodie. Things started so well, and the carp were obviously active, but a series of bad decisions made me waste a good opportunity to bag up.
